Well if your into shopping there are plenty of stores in Mineola, Sulphur Springs, Winnsboro, and Quitman to keep you busy besides all the festivals that happen all year long. There are several Antique stores in all of these little towns.

If your into Golf there are two Golf Courses located on Beautiful Lake Fork they are Lake Fork Golf Course 903-473-3112 and the other is The Links At Lands End 903-383-3290 they are beautiful golf courses.

Also if you have time you probably would like to visit the Texas Fresh Water Fisheries Center located in Athens it has all kinds of really unique fishing memorabilia and also it’s a Fish Hatchery and they have a lot of unique fishing exhibits and a live fish feeding show. And it also is the home of the Share Lunker Program which is a very unique program where they are trying to keep the Big Fish Population thriving in Texas. If you catch a Bass that is over 13 lbs and you donate it to parks and wildlife then they will pay for a fiberglass replica of your Bass, during certain times of the year. Lake Fork has numerous things to do in and around the lake.

Lake Fork is 27,690 acres it is located in beautiful North East Texas. Lake Fork was opened to the public in 1980. Lake Fork has every thing to offer in the way of cover for you it has standing timber, grass, lily pads, points, creeks, and road beds, humps, ridges, all the cover you could ever dream of. Lake Fork has more bass on the top fifty list in Texas than any other lake in Texas. It produces a lot of big fish. The Crappie and the Cat Fishing are excellent also with abundant number of Crappie and Catfish caught every year.
